Got ready to charge my A3S battery #1 and it was dead. I was just bragging about not having a problem with my batteries a few days ago and this turned up. Less than a year old and bought as a combo pack, other two are fine. I’m unsure if it was the battery’s fault or mine by not recharging after cool down in any case the lights won’t come on by pressing the button on top. When connected to the charger hub the hub lights up green but after about 4 secs goes to red. I’m unsure how I should proceed to trouble shoot or if it’s still under warranty as I do have another year of refresh on this drone. Could someone advise? Price of new batteries are so much more now and i wouldn’t know who to order from as DJI says they’re out. Would it be a bad idea to leave charging hub connected for 4 or five minutes to see if it comes back to life like the cellphones when they go dead? Under watchful eye of course.

Yeah that's not good. Solid red is either battery error or charger problem. Probably caused by battery not meeting minimum charge voltage, which would be the case if it was truly dead. The only way to revive such batteries is to try and force them back up to minimum voltage by non-balance charging manually via a Non-DJI RC charger where you can specify input amperage and charge type. Difficult to interface though, and not guaranteed to rescue every pack. The safe option is to not use that pack and replace it.

How low do you typically go with your batteries, percentage wise? And what in general is your charging policy so to speak? Perhaps that can shed some light on what happened.

In any case, this sucks. :-/ Hopefully you can fix it somehow or find an affordable replacement.
