Battery shelf life

I am looking at a new Mavic pro alpine white that was purchased as a Christmas gift last year, It has never been used or opened. Should I be concerned about the batteries. That is my only real concern. It is still under warranty till 12-18-18.

I would think not. But, I would take them through a full cycle ASAP

The Mavic may be under warranty until 12/2018 but the warranty on the batteries expired as there's only 6mo on those.

Batteries should not be run to zero. Here is the recommended storage range for your batteries. Whether irreparable damage has been done is a flip of the coin.
