Over many flights I've been meticulous about battery security and prop security. But today as I was removing the gimbal lock I caught myself squeezing the drone body right over the battery release buttons. When I then pushed down on the battery, I got two solid clicks, showing that the battery had not been locked. Had I flown it that way, the battery likely would have come off or at least disconnected in flight.

The lesson of course was to stay clear of the battery release buttons when handling the drone. And to recheck before flight by pushing down first on one side then the other. Then on the other hand, maybe I'm the only one on this forum that didn't already know this...

Did the same thing this afternoon and noticed it had came loose .
That is one thing I do check before I start up though is being sure it is latched just from reading in here .
It happens and lots of these fell from the sky threads are from just that .

I’m sooooo paranoid about that, my OCD kicks in.... I think I over do checking them but I suppose it’s best to be safe than sorry;)

One problem... because of my OCD, the battery is flat before I even flyo_O

I managed to unlock the right hand catch on my MP2’s battery whilst checking the battery was properly secure! Just nipped the end of the release button.

Much prefer the single release button on the MA’s battery. Harder to accidentally catch.

Added a strap around the body and battery- its my camera mount too. No way for the battery to lift out conveniently now, but maybe that’s preferable.

That’s a good ideaThumbswayup just need to be careful not to cover up the bottom sensors.
