Not sure what you will think, but here goes:
These are all images I took when I first started out in photography … and not a drone in sight. I lived and worked in Berlin between the years of 1982-1985, while the wall was still the prominent feature in the city. All of the images were taken on either negative or slide film and have been scanned in. Unfortunately the scanning process (my lack of skill) has resulted in some of the images being rather grainy - especially the ones from colour negatives. I hope this won’t detract from your enjoyment of the project.
I’m considering doing a similar project of all the neolithic sites I have visited - at least they will all be digital images. I guess I will wait to see what reaction I receive to this lol.

There is a sadness that cannot be contained with the music, well done. I think its worth providing some verbal speak from you seeing that you lived there, it would add to the context of what were seeing.

Thank you for your comments. There is a sadness but the city was not a sad place. It was more like a island in a sea of sadness. That is why so many died trying to get there. As for my voice, I'm not sure, but I see what you mean.
Thats just it, that is the Part that you need to verbally communicate , because its dark, with no light that you should consider bringing in with your commentary.

I was certainly blown away by this presentation, which I think takes the prize for the best video in this forum for a very long while. I have both a Nikon slide scanner and a flat bed scanner. I cannot imagine the work you have gone through to put this amazing film together. Must have been hundred of hours.

I was born in 1938 and the war broke out a year later. I lived through it all, and am an avid WW II history buff. I've been to Berlin before and after the wall. I toured the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, and rode the train to Unter Der Linden Street in east Berlin. I visited the site in Berlin where partisans were slaughtered and hung on meat hooks. Also did a driving trip to Normandy, crawled through the German bunkers, etc.

Your presentation was excellent, worthy of actually being shown in a museum. We need constant reminders of the cost of freedom. The graininess in these images gave them more power, not less. These images are powerful reminders of tyranny. So many stories, movies, books about these times. I want to thank you so much for this.

Wow, that was some endorsement Dale. Many thanks. Was the place you mention Plötzensee ? I went there a few times (taking visitors who came to stay) and whenever I went there, you never heard birds and even on the hottest days it felt cold. Berlin is so full of history.

YES! That's the name I forgot. Good for you. Of course my most favorites part of Berlin is the 5th Floor food halls of Ka De We! ( Kaufhaus des Westen). I went crazy, nuts there!
