Best device to transfer pictures/videos to my computer?

Hello, wondering what is the best was to transfer pictures/videos from the micro sd to my computer.

Would I be better off with something this?

Or like this? (My computer has a sd card reader slot)

I use something like the one in the top picture. Works fine. I also upload everything I shoot to Youtube at the same time. Can never have too many backups.

If the PC has a blue USB3 socket - most do now - get USB3 reader it will be at least 2x faster.

I use what came with my SD card, seems to work well and fast, card and reader has extra pins for faster transfer rates

I've been using this Transcend memory card reader for some time now. It's a USB 3.0 memory card reader and it's able to accept both Micro SD and SD memory cards.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! I do have 4 blue usb ports on my PC. 2 on the front and 2 on the back. They are labeled SS on them. I think one if not both of the front ones are broken. I remember having an issue fitting the usb in them a few years back. Both blue pieces came out and the usb doesn't seem to go all the way in. No issues when I tried on the back. Weird.

During rc - tablet- mavic are all connected we should be able to download all photos and video formats even if it takes more time. That's my point of view.

Went with this one.. Thanks for the suggestion!

Also going to pick up this 3.0 male to female extension cable so I don't have to mess with the back of my computer every time I want to transfer something.

Tbh I would use a uhs-2 reader as they will read current cards at the speed they spec

They have more pins and are backwards compatible

Just found one of these in my desk so I'll have a usb 3.0 and one of those.
