Received my Air 3S 10 days ago but with the rain, wind an me having the flu I have been unable to fly it. It’s not replacing my Mini just adding to my fleet.

Question that I have is I want to add a small Firehouse strobe to the underside and wondering what would be the best color for daytime flying?

I have white strobes for night, but they don’t seem noticeable enough for daytime flying.

White is the brightest, but in bright daylight, any color will be difficult to see. Strobe lights are most effective during dusk or nighttime conditions.

I have never had a strobe that was of any use for seeing the drone . The same goes for colored "skins" things like this may help you find the drone on the ground, A strobe will only temporarily blind you if you see it. and all colors turn to a shade of black once its far enough away. I like skins for their "shelf Queen" value and lights have their purpose..Seeing your drone is not one. Others seeing it is.

Wasn't sure if Red, Blue or Amber would be better
I've tried nearly all of the commonly used strobe lights. White is the brightest no matter the brand.

I have always been happy with my Firehouse white but first I have to find the drone in the sky,

I have a white on top for aircraft. I have a White on the rear which faces me and since it is pointed towards me I can see if for a farther distance. This is helpful in orientation. If I see it I know it is facing away. If not I yaw until I see it and can determine it's direction and correct if neccessary.

Sad how many people didn't seem to read your question but answered anyway.

The best color for daytime use will vary based on conditions. White may be the "brightest" but in clear skies and sun, bright isn't enough. You need contrast. I would try a couple different colors. In a bright, clear, sky, a contrasting color like red or green may be most noticeable. We fly Mavics primarily, and they are pretty easy to see against a white or gray (cloud) ceiling. At 300-400 feet and 500-600 feet lateral, it can be easy to lose VLOS. We require a VO to backup the pilot to ensure VLOS.

I'd be interested in hearing what you end up with color-wise. Again, it's not just a matter of brightness level. Contrast is key and that can depend on the specific conditions.

White, and as your OP was titled, "strobe".....I find the blinking light is easier to pick out due to human vision being well attuned to motion....evolution for self-protection?
