Best used quadcopter to buy for my father?

I know this is a DJI forum, but everyone here flies drones.
I was thinking about 100 to maybe $150 tops.
Seems the Parrot Bee-Bop used can be had for about $150 (1080p, GPS, uses cell phone). Might be a good into quadcopter for my dad.
Any recommendations? Love to do a spark, but will never get one for under $150.
Even on ebay a phantom 2 is about $200 and I think the bee-bop would be better for crashing.

I’d say pony up a little more and get him a Phantom.

Flying anything with a cell phone is dreadful (especially for a newb learning stick control).

It’s better to have sumthin less likely to crash than to have one that might survive a crash.

Got my dad an MP and he’s never flown anything that wasn’t wind powered and attached to a roll of twine.

Every flight so far has been successful to the point where I know he will enjoy the hobby.

Newbs who end up crashing sumthin with less control will usually give up on the hobby altogether.

Are older MP1 or 2 any good? Probably, but their pretty old, 4 years or so?
