Ostensibly to prevent theft, DJI makes it impossible and will not help. Their thinking is the only reason for needing to do so is you found or stole the drone.Has anybody found out how to unbind from somebody else's account with out password
Credible how?Recently I saw someone new (not the same old tired scammers) claiming to be able to resolve this issue, not sure where I saw it, but it sounded credible to me.
Not sure but I remember this post simply said "we" have a solution, reach out to us this is what we do and then later there was a simply reply of "thank you" as if it appears the job was done. I dunno, I just got that feeling but I didn't think too much about it at the time because maybe it sounded to me like the person may have been a DJI employee, this was from overseas. It didn't come off like the usual "pay us and we break into the drone" response. Anyway, there are a lot of these requests out there so I'll look out for it next time and maybe post more details on this forum if anything develops from it.Credible how?
Possibly that thank you was just a reply to the response received and not to something resulting from a fix?then later there was a simply reply of "thank you" as if it appears the job was done.
Probably so but at the time it sounded like this person perhaps got whatever information they were looking for.Possibly that thank you was just a reply to the response received and not to something resulting from a fix?
I do also remember at least one guy claiming he could do it for a fee of $250 that sounded semi-legitimate, but his posts and account got deleted when I tried to follow up on his offer in the thread, and I also searched to find them at a later time. Gone. Sounds like the same post. There was another similar post after that also replied to such an unbinding request, offering help, and then vaporized. It would not surprise me if a former or current DJI employee could be able to do the unbinding, through a DJI backdoor, but it still could have been a scam.Probably so but at the time it sounded like this person perhaps got whatever information they were looking for.
I wish I could remember where I saw it so I could go back and query for myself and see if I can find out more. By now, there has to be some sort of resolution out there for binding and I remember at the time thinking it sounds like someone has inside connections (rather than a hack). I remember the person claiming "we specialize...." or something to that effect. Still, it could be the usual scammer.
Edit: I'm asking AI to help me find it but not successful; oh well.![]()
Indeed, and then another perp comes along and offers to "help" the fiest perp, for a fee. They prey upon each other. No honor among thieves! LOL!Usually its the perp asking how to defeat anti-theft measures.
