Unbinding a DJI Drone from Previous Owner

Is it possible to unbind a DJI drone from a previous owner’s account after it’s been sold? I bought a used M3T, but the previous owner only signed out of Pilot 2, so it’s still linked to his account. Can he unbind it via a web browser without giving me his login details?

NO. It can only be done with the consent of the previous owner. Can you contact them? They need to remove the drone from their account, Simply deleting the app wont work.
They can do it from their end, and they do not have to give you any info at all.

Does the previous owner doing the unbinding need physical access to the drone during the unbinding, or can they do it without physical access to the drone itself?

No access to the drone is needed, only access to the previous account. If they wanted to give the OP that info then the OP could do it.

is, "Yes."

The previous owner can unbind it remotely from a web browser with his login details, without sharing them with the OP.
