3 Bird Pics!

Looks like an Osprey, am I right?
I don’t know. It seemed to be a different bird altogether from my encounter the day before which I believe was a Red Tailed Hawk. It caught me totally off guard as it came at me and was aggressive as h***. Here’s a pic from that video.Screenshot 2025-08-13 at 6.42.47 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-13 at 6.39.41 PM.png

Reckon that’s an American kestrel. Had one on my glove a couple of weeks ago along with a bald eagle and a great grey owl. The kids bought me a morning flying experience-such beautiful creatures.

Agree. And not the same species as the bird in the first post.

Those photos really show the Kestrel's high-speed and low-speed wing configurations. The F-111 imitated that.

First one is from a local preserve. Second one out in the country taking food home to Eaglet. The Eaglet after she learned to fly (3.5-4 months old). The fourth the parent again bring food home with a hitchhiker. Sorry for the loss of detail on the last one, sun as directly behind her.

Wow. You captured some good ones there. What a great experience to see those smaller birds harassing the big guys. I'll be forwarding a link to your post to several friends.
