I want to make this video where I will fly my MA2 through various openings like a car window and a culvert. But since this opening is small, I'm afraid the bottom sensor will kick in and push the drone upward. So I want to duct taped the bottom sensor to disable it. But I also want the optical flow sensor to work. So is the bottom anti-collision sensor share the same camera as the optical flow sensor?

Pretty sure the drone will go crazy if you tape the bottom sensor as it will still be on. So far, the software does not allow us to turn that off.

As long as you can prevent gps connection and you don’t need to fly high the drone will go into attitude mode and cover bottom sensor with gaffers tape or similar non residue tape

I have special set up with telescoping pole, that goes up to 15 feet with the drone attached. Camera is working, its just not flying for inside pictures or video taping in small spaces. Works great, don't ever have to mess around with sensors, turning them off and on. I send the drone in horizontally, in tight space up to 10 feet, pole resting on support as I guide the drone carefully to get the video. Don't use it much but when I need it its ready to go. The pole doubles for my go pro, same principle. For instance, inside a building like a park shelter, can't fly the drone over people, or inside, so I capture the event walking the drone thru with out breaking any rules to get my video from a higher perspective.

Sounds great! Any pictures you can share of the setup?

I can send you a picture, if you give me a day or so. Been very busy. I will leave this open to get back with you.

Yes, for that shot much better then making what i have.

Sorry; pictures are not the greatest. Picture with drone using telescoping pole, is screwed in to the stand, close up in picture
18-24-18 is a stand for flash heads. I had some extra skids for my pontoons that I used to make the whole thing work. Key to the whole thing is the little flash head stand, which you can buy on ebay. And, the telescoping pole the head, has to swivel
so you can position drone in different angles. Please let me know if you get this info.

Cool! Thank you. I've seen other devices that secure around the drone body, for hand holding, that could also be adapted similarly for use on a large telescoping pole, like a window washing pole. DJI sort of did the same thing with the Osmo and the Osmo Pocket, giving you remote control of the gimbal from the base of a long pole. Lots of ways to leverage the wonderful gimbals and cameras on our drones without needing to actually fly them! Thumbswayup
