Problem?
Gimbal overload error - obstruction
Was unit in a crash?
Yes. I bought it on ebay crashed. Previous owner said it hit tree and fell 25 feet. He failed to say it crashed into water.
What have you tried so far?
replaced gimbal including ribbon cable
replaced gimbal control board
replaced main lower board
downloaded DJI assistant 2 and updated to current firmware and tried to calibrate
What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)?
Iphone 7 to fly
windows 10 laptop
What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)?
aircraft - latest as of 11/21/18
controller - not sure
What Go app version are you using?
Dji Go 4
Any modification? (if so what)
It has a wrap/skin on it
Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what)
Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link)
No, but I can make them if needed
I did not own the drone when it was crashed so I don't think I have the flight logs.
The camera has always worked fine, but the gimbal has never worked since I have owned it (about a month)
This thing had some water damage to the main lower control board (it still flew fine just no gimbal control)
When I got it the error was a visual system error and gimbal overload error.
I replaced the gimbal - same result
I replaced the gimbal control board - same result
I replaced the lower control board - now only the gimbal overload error remains.
I have obviously thrown parts at this thing trying to resolve.
My question is - Can the main lower board cause the gimbal control board to short out? I replace the gimbal control board but that was before I replaced the lower main board. Could it have shorted out my new gimbal control board - and is there a way to check/confirm this?
I am relatively new to drones but I have a spark and mavic pro.
Please advise on what further info is needed and how to collect it.
Tim
