Staggered up to the Downs here in Bristol at 6am this morning in an attempt to get some shots of this year’s magnificent lift-off, the first since Covid. Wind in wrong direction to bring them over to us (knew that from the forecast) but at least the light on the beautiful trees in Leigh Woods makes up for some very small balloons. Will try again tomorrow morning-it’s been too hot 34C for them to lift off in the 6pm evening event. Suspect it will be the same later today. At least 60 get away from the Ashton Court site.
