Camera out of focus

it seem like Im having trouble getting camera to focus at night. I never would have to continue to focus etc... then it goes out again till I find other object to focus on and then go back to original shot and it goes out again. I’ve flown at night before with no issues. Now, I did have the zoom all the way up but that should not make it do this. Any ideas. Did it in manual and auto. Maybe I messed with wrong settings. But if in auto it should default to best settings??? Or should I reset?

I have had this recent problem too. Just took mine out two days ago on a lake run. Got about 2 miles out and came up to an area of people having a fire on the lake while ice fishing. Just could seem to focus on anything. Always would blur.. any suggestion would be great.
