IN other words can 2 DJI apps be installed and coexist on the same phone giving the user the option to choose which one he wants to use. The aircraft would be same since i own only 1 drone.

Gonna ask why?, but as far as i know you may end up with the app crashing

I dont think two versions can coexist, why, because otherwise why would update have meaning?
Just uninstall so only one can actually run.

Assuming you are on Android, you probably would need to use an APK editor to change the package name for the old version so that you could have both versions installed simultaneously. Otherwise Android isn't going to let you have two copies of the same app installed.

I'm also curious why you would want to do this though.

Hi Guys,

From day 1 im having problems with severely poor video feed with my MAVIC AIR. Ive flown about 90 hours now totally. Ive gone thru 3 phones and each time the video gives a different kind of anomaly. Either runs at 5x sorta speed like a Chaplin video or severe tearing/blocking pixellation. All these happen at 1 feet to 500 feet away with same results. Tried usb debbugging on/off and all those hoops & circles. All 3 phones were brand new and to be only used as a drone remote with nothing else installed on it.

The current 3rd phone is the DJI APPROVED Redmi Note 5 which i checked with them and then bought. This phone has severe tearing and blocking. Cant frame shots well. There's nothing installed on the phone (Android 7 Nougat) except DJI app and MX media player to play back my videos and review.

Ive been slowly trying different options over few months (who can spend weeks together troubleshooting this) to see if any workaround might circumvent the problem. No luck. So now i was thinking of installing a different version of DJI Go 4 in parallel to see if that will improve video feed. That's all.
