Can Mavics Be Programmed?

I have a Mavic 1 Pro, but this would really apply to all Mavics, if not all DJI UAS. Can any flight operations be programmed? For example, for my stereo photography, I would fly the MP into its starting position, then press "C2" (if it could be programmed)... then it would take a photo, fly 3 feet right, take another photo, and repeat X number of times, or continue until I press "C2" again.
From what knowledge I have, the answer is no. But, it's nice to have a wish list, right?

It would be easier to use the Litchi app for this kind of thing.

Yes. You can program almost anything. Litchi might work for you (using the 'straight line' mission options), or perhaps DroneDeploy, Pix4d, or DroneHarmony. Litchi and DroneHarmony cost money, DroneDeploy and Pix4d photogrammetry apps are free to use to take photos. Litchi has an online Mission Hub that is free to use without any app purchase.
