Thanks! It's great to know I won't have to lug two controllers aroundI believe the correct answer is yes.
YepI believe you need to bind both drones to the RC then whenever you boot up the fly app you choose which drone to link
but maybe I have that
Ok, thanks. Forgive my ignorance, but what is "binding?" I'm on my 4th DJI drone and as far as I know, I never had to "bind" anything. What did I miss?I believe you need to bind both drones to the RC then whenever you boot up the fly app you choose which drone to link
but maybe I have that wrong
They meant "connect" or "pair" not "bind."Ok, thanks. Forgive my ignorance, but what is "binding?" I'm on my 4th DJI drone and as far as I know, I never had to "bind" anything. What did I miss?
I thought the limit on flights was 5 until you had to bind a drone to a RCThey meant "connect" or "pair" not "bind."
Binding is a separate process but if you don't fly more than 2 or 3 flights with the controller before you go back to the other controller then you don't have to worry about binding. Besides unless you have internet access in the field, you won't be to bind the drone and your controller to your DJI account.
You'll get a binding message on the controller, you can read it and decide what you want to do but you don't have to bind anything in order to fly.
Yeah probably so I didn't know the exact number.I thought the limit on flights was 5 until you had to bind a drone to a RC
I use my RC2 to control either my Mini 4 Pro, or my Neo. The controller asks on bootup to choose which one, and then it loads the appropriate firmware.I have an Air3 and and a soon to come a Mini 5 Pro. Can one controller (RC2) be used for both drones? Not at the same time of course.
I don't have the RC2 but I have other DJI controllers. If you power up just one drone (specifically the last drone you flew with that controller) and then you power up the RC, it should not be asking you to choose anything....it should just connect, right? This is the way the Pro smart controllers work but I don't use the RC2, M4P, or NEO just yet.I use my RC2 to control either my Mini 4 Pro, or my Neo. If I power up the drone first, then the controller, it loads it automatically. If I power the controller first, then the window pops up with the different possible drones you can run with it and you choose which one you want to load. At least, that's how mine works.I don't have the RC2 but I have other DJI controllers. You also need internet access to log into your account when it logs you out once a month!Fun fact: You need to have internet access when you change the binding.
That's never happened to me on any of my DJI drones (four of 'em). What causes it?You also need internet access to log into your account when it logs you out once a month!
It's a DJI Fly requirement, and it severely restricts your flight, if you have no internet access to do so, as many off the grid flyers have discovered, much to their dismay. Always best to log in before you leave home for an extended off the grid trip. I don't believe it was ever required for GO 4.That's never happened to me on any of my DJI drones (four of 'em). What causes it?
