Also, how should I render it? It was shot in 4k

edit: Should I just render in to out the entire video and watch in premiere?

Most editors work internally with some kind of proprietary format that manages changes made to an original. Rendering breaks that chain and so can make applying LUTs a bit faster since the application doesn't have to work against the entire edit. If it were me I'd do a rough cut to get rid of the original footage that isn't going to be included in the final and then render that out with the same specs it was recorded in. I'd then apply any color correction/noise reduction to the individual clips and when I was happy with the clips bring it all together in the finished project. What you should render to is dependent on what you want to do with the footage. There are endless articles on all the different rendering options and what they end up as and where you should start. You want to come up with a workflow that takes you from your original footage on through a finished product.

Not really sure what you mean. I have all my edits/adjustment layers with LUTS applied all in my timeline. Should I render it before applying neat video or apply neat video and then render?

Okay. Now I understand better. Given that I would render the current project to give a baseline to return to if needed. Then you can work with copies of that baseline and apply the DNR. By using copies you can try different profiles and get a chance to do side-by-side comparisons to see which looks best. Unless you already know what profile you're going to use. Then you can just go for it. But I'd still do that off the new baseline.

What do you mean by profiles?

I use Final Cut Pro. I apply Neat Video for every scene with individual settings. Thus for me it would be unthinkable to apply Neat Video to the entire film after the Final Cut has rendered my other edits.

Can't you render it and then just put the sequence back into the timeline or does it not work like that
