So I just sold my P3P and now looking to jump on the Mavic train. Can you trust some of these ebay sellers that state they've sold 100+ mavics or should I go straight to DJI or someone like B&H? Just want to get it from someone who has these in stock.

I know there have been a couple sellers in the classifieds that sold their Mavics for $700-$800 but those get snatched up quick.

eBay would be okay if you know the seller is an authorized DJI dealer. If Amazon is an option, you can find authorized DJI dealers with Mavics in stock here. DJI direct is of course a good option too.

Does DJI have these readily in stock nowadays? I remeber before theyd be backordered.

Amazon is best but you'll wait if no stock...they have a good return policy just in case. otherwise go D J I direct.

Bought one from "Moto-house" on eBay. Excellent transaction and was only one of few having stock (at that time). Got it overnight shipped to Hawaii.

DJI is currently shipping after 1 business day when purchasing from the DJI Store.

Me too but a seller named hindwall. I got tired of reading about all the delays people had that had ordered them previously. I just figured if I want it immediately, I'm gonna have to pay a premium. Glad I did. I love it!

Since supply has caught up big time, I would just keep an eye on big retailers and setup alerts. I bet you'll see one within a week.

I cannot recommend buying from DJI directly. You have a very short return policy, and if you use it you pretty much bought it. A retailer like Best Buy, you can use it and if there is something wrong with it you can return it to them. Yes you will pay extra money in sales tax but to me it's worth being able to have good customer service. DJIs customer service's the worst in the business.

In regards to your original question, eBay is a great way to buy anything as well. If there is something wrong with it when you receive it you can always return it and get your money back including shipping.

As others have said eBay is a great place for purchases. I personally use eBay for smaller purchases. I check their feedback to see if there have been issues with the seller. When it comes to large purchases, I will go with someone local or big company name like best buy or other name brand stores.

You just have to do a little homework to make sure your making a good investment on your purchase.
