Hello everyone;
I pass the test on 7/27/2018. Before that I was anxious and started the IACRA process. I registered my self as Juan Antonio Rodriguez and wait until get the test. On the result the examiner follows my drivers license on which I am Juan Antonio Rodriguez Herrera. When I tried to fix the IACRA info, I could not change it. After many unsuccessful intents, I contact the FAA and they told me that I need to file by mail. I file form 8710-1 by 8/16/2018. At the end of August I e-mail the FAA and they reply days after with a no-too happy e-mail on which they told me that I will need to wait a much longer time do to the "paper" process and that I will not get a temporary certificate. Its look like they punish me for my mistake and the fact that they do not have an "IT" personnel to correct IACRA. It was a simple fix to just erase the first application and allow me to do it correct. This is affecting my job because my boss had many job-sites for me to worked on but because I don't have my certificate, I could not do them. This could cost me my job. Just sharing so future pilots does not make the same mistake.

I'm sure you understand the importance of clearly identifying the person to whom a license is issued. The failure is on your part, not that of the FAA or any other agency. They are not "punishing" you!! They do not know you, only that the information that you gave them does not match. Be sure to give your employer a timeline of the process you followed and the communication that has taken place. That gives them some objective information as they consider your continued employment. Keep us posted on your progress and do your best to keep a positive attitude.

I do understand the importance of identification on todays time, but, Thank you for rank my failure. I guess you do not underrstand the common simple proccess of IT, on which all its take on their end to just delete the application and let me initiate a new one. I spoke with several FAA employees looking for a solutiona and when I mentioned the ability of correcting the IACRA on which aloud me to re-procees the form. But the do not have the "man power" to fix the form. Anyway, thanks again for remind me of possitive attitude, which I have, thats why I said that my post was to alert others on not doing the same mistake.
