"China is preparing to launch a new drone mothership, the Jiu Tian, capable of deploying 100 kamikaze drones simultaneously. This development aims to significantly enhance China's air force capabilities.

The Jiu Tian, with a 25-meter wingspan, can fly for 12 hours and has a range of 7,000 kilometers. It can carry up to six tons of equipment, including surveillance technology and weapons, and is designed to operate at high altitudes."

Well that's great. Someone warned us about this last year and they were....laughed at.

This is probably just the beginning. Next up, we'll have motherships carrying thousands of drones.

What is the Registration fee for my Drones?...and can I travel with the Drone and controller in the same area? Must they be in plain view? Do I need a sticker for my window or when being pulled over do I put my hands out the window and yell that there's a Drone in My vehicle!!? Will there be a Drone Course offered so that I may "open carry" my Drone?
Me from 5 years from now would like to know.

My mothership is a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid. Top speed hasn't been tested or determined, but it's silver in color, has a range of 600 miles, has operated at elevations up to 12,000 feet ASL, and it carries one non-suicidal (I hope) drone. The drone will be deployed tomorrow at the Vail Pass rest area on I-70 as the mothership heads to Denver. I've attached a picture taken on a previous desert deployment. For security reasons, most of the mothership is not shown.

Wake me up when someone posts a vid of the actual Mother Ship airborne and deploying smaller drones, artist renditions suck.

Actually I believe it was a Iranian mothership that was referred to, and this was about aircraft flying in N.J., there were more comments made on this subject by a lawmaker, but what's the point. It wasn't a Iranian mothership then, just different aircraft with lights. They made a big deal about our own aircraft in our own airspace.
I'm sure we're capable to manufacturing our own drones and motherships, anything they can do we can do better, right?
Maybe we're developing Humanoid Robots too but we just rather talk about it right now, probably top secret. This is the United States and we work together to make our country stronger. This is what we all were taught growing up.

But we all know the Iranians get a lot of their weapons from Russia, China, and N. Korea and China presses their experimental weapons into service around the world to test them out and especially in the volatile Gulf just like America in Ukraine. 5 years ago if someone had told me China was flying spy balloons around the world collecting data.....btw that lawmaker let it slip about the mothership speculation and he quickly shutup but American intelligence is already aware of this and cannot admit it publicly for various reasons. In NJ, once everyone important got "the briefing" they quickly backed down.

yes America probably has this near or is working on it and China likely stole it from us like a lot of things. My point is we cannot wait else it will be too late. I realize we are currently "distracted" as a country but who wants to spend the next 10 years talking about how we need to play catchup around the world? We are literally losing ground everywhere and it's sad.

Fwiw, I learned just the other day that one can indicate sarcasm by typing </s>, or simply /s, at the end of said sarcastic text.
Boom!
Yeah I used that a lot but many people don't know it now that we have smiley faces.

I think the Ukraine war has shown everyone that drones on the battle front are just as effective as was imagined. Soon drone ground fighters as robotics advances.

Unfortunately America is more interested in their own fantasies. For example, a golden dome that will be 100% effective, built in under 4 years, for $25B and will protect the entire US (and maybe even Canada) from all kinds of threats including mothership drones from China? I get it, we should dream and dream BIG. But c'mon even I can see this is about the most ridiculous waste of time and money so far and it's stupid because it will never work and sadly, no one in the central government has the nerve to speak up.
