I use mine on a tripod, the only thing in my hand is the RC. I love it.

Same here, and with a tripod the sun shade options are limitless for a pad

LHP and RHP must match, so both Rx and TX should be the same, as far as I know, the reason for using these is that if I use LHP and you use RHP their will be less interference. My son uses a aliantech booster with his mp1 and it works really well.

What kind of range can your son get from that Alientech?
