Question for you guys,

I see a lot of aerial videos over cities, skylines etc.

How do people get those nice videos ? Don't they have to fly eventually over people, roads, etc ?

Isn't that technically prohibited ?

Many get permits , it just takes time , and sometime a fee.

And many, many more don't get permits nor do they care about the rules.

Some videos on Youtube (and similar) might have been made prior to the FAA revising the rules. Also it's possible some are flying under different agencies other than the FAA and our regulations used in the US. I'd think it depends where the flight was taken. But yeah you might catch a questionable video here and there.
