Anyone have a good recipe for "bee gut remover?" I was flying static at 300' overhead, trying to hyperlapse an incoming storm.

The bees were apparently offended by the notion. Props seem to be fine, but everything is a bit crusty...

elbow grease?? :)

elbow grease?? :)

I'm used to using a single-edged razor blade on the windshield at least once every storm season, when I hit a cloud of whiteflies at 65+MPH. I'm more worried about damaging the MA2 plastic while scraping.

It's even on the vent grilles.

I've used window cleaner for years on R/C aircraft.

can of compressed air for after to blow out moisture from either spray introduced into the interior spaces....(pressurize inside to out)

Grade 0000 steel wool works well on windshields but I would test on a leg. It will definitely remove insects and polish glass.

auto detailer spray wax works fairly well on the leading edges of wings but I would hesitate to spray it on my drone. Don't delay

actually, to be serious, WD40 does wonders on stuff like that
I have used it on tar, glue on the car, even the plastic parts and haven't had damage
just an idea, WD40 is great for a lot of things
Q-Tip on the vents

We use WD40 on so many different things as well.

i would not use any type of solvent or very abrasive media ,have some warm water with a small amount of washing up liquid in it and just use a well wrung out cloth to gently remove the insect remains, it may take a while but it wont damage the drone, hand wipes are a good alternative, and are easy to carry in the field and use on site to remove insect remains as well
