I need something really compact.
The supplied carry handbag seems just too big, its actually no smaller than my mavic pro bag!
Something to store m2, controler and batts, nothing else. Nice and neat to then shove in your back pack.
What are people using?

There are a lot of options, but there are a few that I use. I have a slew of bags I can use, but would throw these options out there. You mentioned your Mavic Pro, and then later said you wanted to transport your "M2"... I assume Mavic 2, not Mini 2, yes? I think the first thing is to determine how you want to pack your bag and what you want to carry in it.

The first picture is a Tamrac bag that measures 9x8x3". Too narrow for my Mavic 2 but at times could be wonderful for my Mini 2 as it can accommodate a shoulder strap or I can put it on my belt. No padding or protection on this one.

The second picture is the bag that came with my Mavic 2 which I shlepped w/my Mavic 2 Pro all over the east coast last year. The charger, accessories, etc were packed with my other belongings, but if I'm carrying a backpack, the case could go inside of it as well as the accessories in the bp separately. I pulled stuff up out of the bag so you could see that I was able to carry ND filters, a bracket (which I only use with my iPad. Note strobes mounted on the rim. Unseen is the 3rd battery in the compartment below the 2nd. I love this bag as it makes for quick deployment, easy carry, decent protection and room for lots of accessories for such a small size. Its even better with my Mini 2 and I won't need to buy a new bag when I get a Mini 3. 7x8x6.5".

Last photo shows a bag I found on Amazon. $19.

When I was a professional photographer, before digital, I carried stuff on my shoulder during assignments, probably similar in size to what you're looking for and was surprised to find what I needed at Kmart for under $10. I stiill have them and use them. It doesn't necessarily have to be a brand name like Tamrac or Lowepro. A lot depends on how much protection you need with the drone inside the bag.

Here is my case. $20 on Amazon straight from China! Hard enough to protect the drone from being dropped but not waterproof or anything. I like it because it is low profile, fits really well in my backpack, holds my drone, remote, 2 extra batteries, license, first aid kit, wall to USB adapter, charging cable, extra propellers, screwdriver, and lots more! I also like that I can takeoff and land on it (usually do case takeoff and hand landing). I have had it for 1.5 years under almost everyday use now and still in great condition!

That looks perfect. What do I search for on Amazon?

Unfortunatley, these cases are all coming in too big.
Ideally I want to be able to put the m2 inside my camelbak for when I go off on the mountain bike. Profile need to be approx 170cmx100cm if possible.
I think it will have to be separate protective pouches, something with a bit of padding.
But I can't see anything available?

I've got a Mini 1, and for taking it out biking I just wrapped it in a cloth and popped it into a "tupperware" style plastic lunchbox that was just big enough for the drone. I just chucked the controller loose into my camelbak, with the sticks unscrewed and clipped into the holder slots. The controller isn't nearly as delicate as the drone so I didn't feel it needed the extra protection. The mini 1 props are a lot more fragile than the mini 2 but with a wee bit of care when putting the drone in the box there was no pressure on the props and no worry of deforming them.

Not super slick looking, but very cheap and effective, bash proof and waterproof too. It wasn't really any more onerous to use than the mini1 flymore case, but a good bit more compact.

You can (have someone) 3D-print a travel box ....

I got one of these for my Mini 2 and I'm pretty happy with it. They also have something similar for the controller, but the controller seems robust enough to go into my bag without a case.

This works for me. I don't use the removable accessory holder.

I'm late to the party but if you have a GoPro Hero 10 or 11 the case that comes with it makes a great way to transport the Mini 2. I'm able to pack it in my Salomon running vest.
