Compass Heading?

Havent' received my MPP yet so here's a quick question: how are the altimeter, airspeed, and compass heading displayed? For example, are they toggled on/off or are they permanently displayed?

here is a picture of the display, the values are permanently displayed to the best of my knowledge. The compass can be toggled into a map.
