You don't want me to give you a blow by blow. It went on over two days and perhaps two hours. The problem was a screen pop up that said Storage Full in white text on an orange background in the upper left corner of my RS2 controller with my Mini 4 Pro. I got on to DJI support and told them this:
"I am getting Storage Full pop up on my controller screen. It's in a yellow icon in the upper left. In spite of this I seem to be able to record! In the Controller screen Flight Checklist I see Aircraft storage full Code: 1C1COA ( or something similar - I forget) This problem occurred while I was flying and recording and a plenty of space on my SD card. I have replaced my SD card with two others all three I have used regularly with no problem. Sandisk Extreme and Extreme Pro. I have cleared the caches on my controller via Profile/Settings/Storage. I have formatted each card and each card shows on the controller screen with the proper amount of storage available. I have Switched the storage via Profile/Settings/Storage back and forth. I used DJI Assistant 2(Consumer Drones Series) 2.1.36 to Refresh the firmware. I have done a complete reset via the About menu in the controller. Can you help?
I was on hold three or four times as it escalated and more questions were asked. I took 5 different pictures of different screens. I reset the drone and then did a Factory Reset that deleted all my waypoints and Setting Choices in the 3dot upper right corner.
I solved the problem. Notable was that I could go in and Format my SD card, but when I would click on the Internal Storage to Format it, it would pop up a message saying "Storage Full" and switch over to the SD card (that might not have been the exact message). It made me think it was all a matter of a problem with the Internal Storage. That might sound like "duh" now but it was not at all obvious. So...I clicked on Format and rapidly clicked on the Internal option which then caused the pop up for the choice to Format the SD card or Internal storage.I had to do this very quickly. I had tried to format the external several times but it just swapped to my SD Card with no option. I had to click and then click in the popped
After finally properly formatting the Internal Storage the Storage Full notice is now gone from my Controller screen.
Best news? I saw this as unfixable (but continued to work on it obviously) and given the difficulty of obtaining new DJI drones I ordered a Mini 5 Pro so I would have a backup. So now I will have a Mini 4 and Mini 5 Pro LOL. ( have 10 drones already so this is not a shocker).

So to be clear, you seen the event timing pattern and selected the drive before the fault could swap to the other drive? So-to-speak...
