Confused about the IACRA process

I'm sure I'm overthinking this at this stage, but I've got my FTN. Do I begin the IACRA application process only when I'm ready to take the test or is it something I should do now while I'm studying?

There's no harm in opening an IACRA account early. When you sign up for the test you schedule it for a specific date, so there's no bo real harm in soing that waely either so long as you know your schedule.
