Hi All...I just signed up today.
I have owned a Mavic Air for over a year now.
Got this reply from DJI
I'm confused because others on this forum have made the CrystalSky work with the Mavic Air ...please help...thank you.

Thank you for contacting DJI Technical Support.

I appreciate your interest in our products.

I regret to inform you that the CrystalSky is not compatible with Mavic Air.

To see the devices that are compatible with CrystalSky, check the screenshot below:

Might have to do with the Go version natively available with the CS. You can side-load Play and update Go that way, or side-load Go itself. Eventually that might not work since CS has an older Android OS.

Just connect to CS to your remote controller. Launch GO 4, that's it.
Maybe update GO4 to the most current version of the CS which is 4.3.16.

Thanks DanMan32, I never side-loaded before. Under the specs for the CrystalSky, DJI doen't list what Android version. I have Android 7 on my Samsung G6 and seems to work well.

I use a 7.85 CS with my Air, works fine.
Very encouraging...thanks Torsen.
Is this all I need to make the CrystalSky 7.85 work with the Mavic Air?

I own a mavic and ultra bright crystal sky

Thanks Keule, Sounds so simple, I just don't understand why DJI says not compatible.
Out of the box....no

But after you do the update, yes

I use the mavic air everyday with the CS. It works no different than the Mavic 2 Zoom, Spark and the Autel Evo...

this is what I am using on my Mavic Air and mavic pro 2 drones.
and yes the update was easy. do all of the updates and firmware updates.
if you have any issues with the DJI Assistance (software) updates or firmware updates, then direct connect the drone to a usb port on your computer, before starting the software. follow the prompts and you will be ok.

Thank you crlmjohnson for your information.
Looks like a strong monitor mount.
