Connection issues Ipad mini4 to mavic Air.

Probably a dumb question. Sorry in advance.
Was using my Samsung galaxy S8 and all worked fine but too small. Bought Ipad mini4. Downloaded app and connected to drone ok at home via usb to controller.

Went outdoors and started everything up. But App asking me to log in? The Ipad has wifi but not mobile so I couldn't log in.

I must be missing a step but can't figure it out.
Came back home and tested again. When home and in wifi the ipad connected fine.
Thought I might uninstall and reinstall app but haven't tried yet.
Any ideas welcome.

As long as you're logged into DJI GO, the login should be remembered even when your iPad is not connected to the Internet.

Set up your S8 as an access point when outside and connect Ipad to authenticate it.
