Hello,

Without trying this out in the real world, what happens if the remote controller loses batteries ? Does the drone automatically do a return to home, or does it stay there and hover?

Using the default settings, the drone will auto initiate RTH three seconds after the remote controller disconnects. If it has a good GPS signal at the time and sufficient battery power, it's usually able to make it back to the home point and land.

If you'd prefer the drone hover or land instead, you can change that setting in the following section of DJI GO:

You can test it by sending it out a couple hundred feet and turning the RC off. You turn the RC back on to regain control if you wish.
