Controller button mapping

Has anyone else had an issue where DJI Go 4 will not save what you map to the custom buttons on the controller?

I have a Mavic Air, I like to set the button beneath the camera button to recenter the gimbal, and the one on the front of the controller to turning the LEDs on or off. This works perfectly on my tablet, but on my phone the software does not save the settings. Instead both buttons open the camera settings.

I'm going to remove and reinstall the app, but was wondering if anyone else had experienced this.

Which devices do you use?

Using a Pixel 2 XL, connected on the side of the controller (nothing connected to bottom of controller).... The tablet is an LG G-pad 8 and works perfectly, it's only the phone that won't save the mapped buttons.

What a shame. I dont have an answer since it should save the mapped buttons, but it might just be a phone glitch. BTS, what system and version are you running on the Pixel?

Running Android 9 / Pie, April 2019 security patch, stock rom, other than an unlocked bootloader. As far as I can tell everything else is working fine, it's just the custom button not saving.

Charging the batteries for the drone currently, but will try reinstalling the app tomorrow.

Those buttons are controlled by the app and saved to the app’s data folder. The function of those buttons will not sync between devices.

Just set the functions you want with that device and then it will save. If you are saying that if you set the fuction on that device but if you close the app and reopen it on the same device and it doesn’t save between sessions, then yea it’s an app problem and redownloading should help.
