I just read couple of days ago someone mentioned that the magnet from the plug is interfering with the controller. I guess this isn't true.

I found the thread I remembered seeing

Ok, im convinced the magnetic usb cable is affecting my Mavic 2.

Again, the drone went bonkers with the magnetic adapter part that I inserted into the Remote Controller. Several month back when I INSERTED the part into the RC the Mavic 2 acted out by loosing connection when the drone was 100, 200 feet away from controller. (Keep in mind, I had ZERO issues...

Very interesting reading. As I noted iv never had any issues when used with my MA or my MPP. Will watch with interest.
