Convert dat file to mp4/mov..

Does anyone know how to convert a dat file to mp4 or any other type of videos?

My iMac does it when I load the file. RAW automatically becomes DNG..., then it opens with a dbl click in iMovie and can be exported in hi def.

It's hard to tell what you are asking for.
.dat files aren't video files and .dng files are still image files.
The only video files you'll get from your drone camera are .mp4 and .mov files.
And conversion shouldn't be required as almost all video programs read both formats.
