Any bird strike can bring down a drone

I had to cancel a flight recently because of a bird swarm.

I launched the MA2 to line up my shots and from nowhere, one bird turned into a dozen or more circling and intimidating the drone.

I have flown successfully with my Spark along with the prop guards.

I'm thinking about purchasing some for the MA2.

The prop guards will make the drone larger and perhaps dominant in the bird world.

If you rise the aircraft higher, it may show a sign of dominance and prevent an attack as well.

All it takes is a nick on one prop from a bird that could end the flight. The prop guards may protect your investment and the bird.

The general view is to fly up & away to get away from birds.
The reasoning is your drone can climb faster than the birds so you should be able to lose them.
Luckily I haven't had to test this out for myself yet but it sounds reasonable.

You bet they can! I believe the drone has disturbed their nest. They do not look very happy about it.
