Course Lock?

But all you can control the is the camera/gimbal angle, not the rotation, which is what people are missing.

The Dynamic Hime point is a nice feature though. I often walk or change locations during a flight and being able to easily change my home point to land & change batteries is helpful
My bad. I had thought you could control both. Thanks for clarifying.

Answer is still the same:

You can simulate course lock by manipulating the the location of the Home Point and engaging RTH, while you fully control the gimbal.

With dynamic home point, you now have even more control over the Home Point.
Manually set the home point on the map by dragging it to where you want to fly to in a straight line, while manually controlling the gimbal. When done, just reset the home point to your location or turn on Dynamic Home Point. QED.
Not nearly as elegant or useful as the old Course Lock that DJI already knows how to do, but refusing to make available.

Indeed. However, it is a partial workaround, for those that can accept its limitations which apparently include lack of rotation, which I was previously unaware of.

The better alternative is using POI together with Waypoints and just run your cable cam that way.
