Last night I was flying at dusk. It came up with a message saying because of the dim light, obstacle avoidance wouldn't work. So somehow I got too close to a palm tree and hit it. I looked for it for thirty minutes, but couldn't find it, the terrain was extremely steep, and I kept falling down. I used find my drone and hear beeps, but didn't see any lights. When I was leaving I fell down and rolled 30 of 40 feet, my shoulder hit something and was extremely painful. Now I had to get back to the road with only one arm.
So today I got a bunch of guys to help me look for it. They found my bag, my remote control, but they couldn't find tge drone. I think it stuck in a tree. So we will need another drone to look for it.
I got my shoulder X-rayed, and their are no broken bones, but it hurts like he'll when I move it,

Sorry to hear about your drone and your injuries. Main thing is that you’ll recover.

Fingers crossed you’ll find the drone and it’s undamaged

Dang, that must be steep.

You could hear the beeps?

Do you think you know close to where it is?

When they found your remote could they activate the beeps?

Anyways, you can upload your flight log, that is probably the best and easiest way to start your search.

BTW, searching with another drone is very risky.
Look for something in trees is also pretty hard.
Palm trees I would thing would be one of the easiest and less likely get stuck in? Odds it being on the ground.

If you have never uploaded a flight log ask for help if you need it.

One of any drone can quickly become none, especially when flying beneath a tree line. If you want to keep flying, it takes more than one...

So the fact that I could hear the beeps means I couldn't of been too far away. How do I upload the flight logs. Can I find out what it's last GPS coordinates were, since it was connected. Thanks in advance. DJI should help me since it is under warranty.

By the time they found the rc the battery on the drone was dead. This was 18 hours later. I have two remote controls. But after I hurt my shoulder it was too late to look for it because it was pitch dark.

So I found I could playback the whole flight. So I did a screen capture of it and here it is. The beginning is boring and the end shows the crash.

Ok. Thanks a lot. I will try. I don't have a PC here.

I'm using android. I don't see a DJI directory on either the internal memory or the sd card. So you can't see these files unless your plugged into a PC?

HUMMM.. You normally use a PC. In that sticky they tell you where they will be on a Android.

You need to use a browser, upload the file, I have always used the txt version.
You will get the results, to share the log copy / paste the url, and post that on this thread.

Sometimes members will attach the .txt post it here and somebody will do that part.

But that's asking me to connect my tablet to a PC again which I don't have.

It seems everytime they update fly, they make it more difficult, if not impossible, to get your flight records without a PC.

DJI finally got me coordinates. So I put them in Google Maps, and this is what I got. But they could be off 30 meters latitude and 0 to 30 meters longitude. We will look tomorrow morning.
