Hey All,

so I crashed for the 2nd time since I got it. went out in backyard, placed the mav on my deck, powered up, took off and a wind gust blew it into a awning post.

Damage:

Gimbal- found it caught on one of the tabs just below the stabilizer plate. shifted it off, did a operations check and calibration and seems fine.

Left rear swing arm- found a crack in the over extension plate above the left rear swing arm

2 rotor blades broken

Repair:

As stated, gimbal seems fine, gonna do a low flight test to make sure all is good.

read swing arm overextension plate, can I just disassemble, JB Weld together, and assemble back together? if need to be replaced do they just sell the plate or do I need a whole new arm?

thanks for help in advance!

I can't see the damage well from those photos. Due to damage to the arm stopper on member Kate's MP, I epoxied some acrylic "plate" over the stopper as a preventative step. If the plate looks straight I'd mask it off with tape and epoxy as well as adding some "beef" overtop as I did (attached).

thank you for the assistance, I think I am gonna just epoxy the part and keep an eye on the damage

Cool. I'm sure you realize this, but just to be sure: epoxy in a way that will allow the drone to be disassembled normally. ie: don't epoxy across a joint.

Hey guys.. is a must to epoxy this stopper? mine it broke after a crush, but seems the arm stops there anyway.

Haven't got my MP here to take a close look and compare. If there is damage, then yes. But take care not to epoxy together parts that are meant to be taken apart. Mask carefully and use small amounts of epoxy.
