Crazy Pilot....Take Off & Landing

U do know they are medics right? I mean if it was someone you knew that was hurt and needed quick medical attention you would'nt have no complaints correct? Of course it's dangerous but that just comes with the job they are saving lives and it has to be done to get close to the scene. every second matters!
It takes time to deploy that air service, even more so if it is on the ground when called.
Around here, an ambulance is the first responder, and will meet an air unit at a safe location if needed. The ambulance crew can stabilize the Patient before the air unit takes over.
This is just stupid. Unless they spend all their money on helicopters in stead of ambulances, then they have to use what they have.

Well that is germany not the u.s and who knows how they do it over there. all I know is some of you guys got to lighten up they're saving frikkin lives! It's not like it's just this commercial helicopter landing in various spots showing off. its a Medivac and if that's what they have to do in Germany then so be it. They could have been in a rural part of Germany where the ambulance is not first on the scene.

If it hasnt happened already, it is just a matter of time before there is a bad accident. It will happen well before a drone kills anyone in my estimate.

I agree with this. Lets just hope everyone stays safe tho

Funny how people have diff takes on any given scenarios or situations.
Clearly the guy is a pro but we really don't know the why or what he did what he did.
I just posted the vids to show how crazy this guy is, that doesn't mean he's doing bad or good things.
I'm only saying that he's crazy....that maybe good or bad to some folks, i don't really know.

Oh, I fully agree, its pretty cool that they can do it, and its fun to watch. BUT, so is base jumping and rock climbing!

I agree, BUT what good would it do me if a gust of wind blew him into the tree, lamp post, or house all of which are dangerously close to the rotor. I may end up in even worse shape along with the pilot and any others in the helicopter as well as those on the ground. Like others have mentioned it would be better to have an ambulance take the person to a less risky landing area.

In my area that's done all the time. The ambulance will make the pickup and transport to an open area for the helicopter to pickup.

The following is an excerpt that I found when I goggled ADAC.

To explain the situation: This is not "some guy in Germany" but a highly trained pilot in a rescue helicopter. This helicopter is called in when a patient needs to be transferred to a special or far away hospital or when a doctor is needed in a remote area (as far as there is something like that in a densely populated country like Germany). The crew consists of a pilot, an emergency physician (or whatever the correct term is) and usually a specialized EMT. These helicopters are quite common and it isn't that unusual to see them landing in the middle of a street - but I give you that this was an especially tight fit. 49 helicopters of this type are in action in Germany with a staff of 186 people.

Yes, Obviously a real authorized flight, can you people that don't actually fly Helicopters shut up and let the adults talk for awhile... need some hot cocoa to go to sleep?

Oh no!... You looked for the truth? They will NEVER believe it.

Why do people make crazy comments without doing some simple research first.? they are on-line so google ADAC and you will find it is a medivac helicopter.
ADAC provides 44 air ambulance helicopters for urgent medical rescues in Germany, strategically placed so that any location can be reached within 15 minutes.
Do you think these guys make these flights just for the **** of it? Just because this is in a town some people go crazy, but the also do rescues in very precarious situations away from the public eye. And ALL the risks are carefully assessed - they do not want to endanger themselves and others to save 1 life. ( the first rule of any rescue)
I have found "Crazy People" always make "Crazy Comments".

Cant believe the Germans haven't figured that out. Works the same in the US.
I just drive myself to the emergency room, except that one time with the stroke. I had someone else drive... hard to walk. They told me to call 911 next time.. screw that, the emergency room is an exit away.
