posted a message a bit ago about why my video wouldn't copy to my computer(Mac) A member asked if I shut down my Mavic before I shut off the video? I did. Now I ca see my video using the DJI Go App hooked up with the controller and the iPhone and my Mavic. I'm sure I once connected the M2Z to my computer to format the SD card, but, for the life of me, I can't get the right connectors to get that done. Can someone please, re-explain, the out-of-the-box setup to connect the M2Z to my computer? TIA,
Jim

Hey Jim I want to make sure we are talking about the same thing. You want to “format your card” which means you want to erase all the video and pictures off your Mavic? Or are you just trying to hook the mavic up to your computer to download the the high quality videos?

To connect the mavic to the computer just simply use the cord you use to charge the remote and connect the Mavic to your Mac with that cable. Turn on the computer and then once it’s on turn on the Mavic and your photos app on the Mac will recognize that a camera has been connected and will let you download the high quality video and photos.

Do not format your SD card in your Mac. You need to format it in the DJI Go app while the drone is on and your remote and device are all on and connected like you are ready to fly.

When you are looking at the camera view in the app(the one where you see what the drone sees) click at the very top where the aircraft status is. This is normally green but it might be yellow or red inside your house. It will pull up a menu with all your aircraft status indicators. You can ignore all those and scroll to the bottom where it says “format card.”

This will erase your SD card do make sure you have everything off of it that you want.

Got the format SD card figured out. Thanks much to Brett for the help.

I do however, think that I connected the Zoom to my computer for "updates to firmware"? There was a cable, and a small adapter that came with it in the package. Nothing plugs into the Zoom and the adapter doesn't match any of the drone or remote connections?
