The Dead Sea is not only the lowest spot on earth, but also the saltiest and most mineral-laden body of water in the world, the Dead Sea, which joins Israel and Jordan, is legendary as a source of healing, and has become a popular center for health, rehabilitation and beauty treatments.
There is no fish life in this because of the amount of salt in the water. In addition it is hard to sink in this water ….In recent years the level of the Dead Sea has been dropping which is significant in the long term. This is a beautiful site as I hope this Drone Image I took this afternoon shows.
Notice the different colors of the water and the white areas surrounding the central island is dried saltDead Sea great colors.JPG
The Dead Sea does not support any kind of life because of the level of salinity

Well, not quite. There is numerous (microbes) and a new form or species of bacteria in mats were recently found at the bottom where spring vents from small craters come into the lake. Nice picture by the way.

Been in there twice. There’s good reason why you get told not to splash - that much salt in your eyes stings (speaking from experience) 😉 The mud/sand is very good for the skin.
