‘Bird strike’ crushes nose cone and diverts A319 in US

A Delta Airbus A319 flying route DL1076 from West Palm Beach to New York LaGuardia was forced to divert to JFK, following a possible bird strike incident late Monday afternoon.

Hailstone or bird, either way flying without people so it's definitely a UAV.
So... I guess we should report it as a Drone strike right?

That would have been one big bird. Continuous hail hits crushing the thiner nose cone and not smashing the windshield.

There have been a number of confirmed cases of that same thing happening with NOTHING striking the unit.

Three planes with hail strikes. One didn't collapse the cone and two even got the windshield.
