Hello,

I purchased a Mavic in March 2023 in fly more combo that I have been unable to use for personal reasons until now. I completely charged one of the battery when I received the drone in order to activate it and the 2 other batteries were left in the box. Then I charged all the batteries mid July until they reached a 40% level in order to increase my chance to store them for a long time without damaging them. Now we are in December and I can finally use the drone for the first time.

What are the odds that I damaged the batteries leaving them unused for such a long time ?

What would have been a recommended way to manage them?

Thank you

Would anything need to be altered for my Mini 3?
No. This advice applies to caring for all DJI drone batteries.

How about the remote control battery?
DJI remote controller batteries rarely fail when compared to drone batteries.

I keep mine charged up to the second light when not in use. The idea there is to make sure the battery does not completely discharge while sitting unused over time. And then make sure you store it in a location with usual room temperatures. No batteries do well when stored in extreme temperatures.
