That's not the way insurance works. Not only is it dishonest, it puts the cost of insurance up for decent , honest people.

DJI wouldn't sell you insurance at this point anyhow. They make you submit a video to show all is in working order (to prevent fraud like this).

I'm kind of amazed that you actually asked that question out loud in a public forum. You might check with eBay's purchase protection policy but I doubt you'll get far with it since you'd have to probably prove something was wrong with the Mavic when you got it.
I am curious anyway. How long have you had it? How many flights have you had since you had it? Did you ever get any errors in any of those flights?
Regardless, I think your best option is to contact Thunderdrones for a repair estimate.

I didn't realize that that would be considered fraud. Obviously, I won't do it, I was just expecting to get some advice on where I should go from here.
