Did I screw up buying this tablet?

Does that show up as a USA Amazon site for you? The price I see is in British £'s and the seller is in Hong Kong but the order is fulfilled by Amazon. If you are looking at a UK sale then you probably need to consider import duties etc. to New Mexico

Yes and it shows as free shipping to New Mexico...good question tho thx!

I've seen that term used a couple of times now, can someone tell me why/how to do this please?

With Android you can install an app without getting it through the Play Store, installing an app this way is considered side-loading. You can download the DJI Fly app directly from DJI and try to install it that way. If it comes up with a parsing error then your device is 32 bit and not 64.

Good to know, thanks

I am an Android user but like most use an Apple product. I purchased a iPad pro refurbished from apple and works amazing.

I bought a cheap $80 tablet that states it has Android 8...as you prolly know, dji fly requires Android 6 or above so I thought it would work however when I try to install fly it shows it's already installed (but on my Samsung phone).
Anyone know what I'm missing... are the specs on the tablet just not good enough?
I couldn't even load the Fly app on my Samsung ( not so cheap ) tablet. I could fly my Phantom with the Android but not the MA 2.

I cant see me (retired on a fixed income) buying an ipad at their price point.
I don't doubt they work wonderfully but I would stick with my phone (which works great I just want a bigger screen) before spending that much.
I went with a $150 Samsung 8 and if that doesn't work well, I'll just stick with my phone and strap on a couple of magnifying glasses around my head. ?

Does the fly app show correct compass bearing and aircraft orientationif used with the mavic mini when also using the Lenovo M8. For the fly app to show correct location and aircraft orientation on the fly app, the display device needs to have a built in compass.

Might want to ask in the Mavic Mini forum. This is Mavic Air 2 discussion.

I use a Mini 4 with no issues. The Mini 5 specs higher, but as long as the Mini 4 is working fine, I see no reason for me to change. Even the old Air 2 has enough processor to work well with either of the two DJI RC apps. However, I have found that cheaper cables can introduce issues with a capable tablet. Since these are the tools of my business, I take backups (full redundancy) of my tablets, cables and drones as well to each shoot.

Just in case, you can download the apk here if you cant find it on Google Play and then side load it like suggested earlier...Apk Mirror - DJI Fly Ap Download

good luck -
Or preferably directly from DJI's website if you want to play it safe:

Select the Download for Android option.
