Folks, do we know if the Mavic 2 Pro has the ability to use digital zoom when shooting 1080p? The old Mavic has such option via the 5D nun but it wasn’t very nicely executed as it zooms in steps. It would be great if we can map digital zoom to the right scroll wheel.
From my calculations, we should be about to get 2.8x zoom without any loose on 1080p. This is because 4x->1080p supports a lossless 2x (MP1 and MP2Z allows such) and the 20MP sensor already has a 1.4x crop hi quality 4x mode since it has more pixels then 4x. So 2 x 1.4 = 2.8x lossless digital zoom.
Right now I am deciding whether I should upgrade to MP2 from MP1 as I use that 2x digital zoom a lot to find things. MP2Z of course has better zoom but I found the image sensor lacking. If MP2 has 2.8x digital zoom at 1080p in would jump in immediately.
