It's not possible to know if this is a GO4, firmware or Smart Controller issue so I'm posting in General Mavic 2
Attached is a screen recording of one of the problems I am having with my Mavic 2 Zoom and the Smart Controller.
At the beginning of the video I am on the Waypoint screen with a simple, 2 waypoint task showing.
Then I tap on the menu icon (3 dots at top near the center of the screen) and select Task Library.
I then load a task with 7 waypoints and the task appears in the map view with all 7 waypoints present and accounted for.
Next I change to hybrid view and here is where things begin to go wrong. After the hybrid view draws on the screen the only waypoint icon that remains visible is #7. All the others have disappeared from view.
Then I zoom in and most of the the waypoints become visible again. Waypoint 2 is still invisible until I zoom in more.
When I zoom out the waypoints again disappear.
None of this disappearing and reappearing occurs if I don’t switch between the different map views. That’s not quite true. I found that if I tap the Map View icon and return to the same view (without changing views) the problem still occurs.
Another problem I have with Waypoints 2.0 is that sometimes I have to tap on an icon multiple times before the corresponding action occurs. I have counted as many as 10 taps or so on the trash can icon before a waypoint will delete.
A third problem I have with Waypoints 2.0 is that I am constantly creating unwanted waypoints. Once you tap the waypoint icon it remains active. So, whenever you use your finger to move the map around you risk creating another waypoint whether you want to or not. I have not found a way to deselect the Waypoint or Point of Interest icons. It seems on or the other will remain selected and as such more waypoints or POIs are accidentally created from time to time.
I am running the most current firmware for both the Mavic 2 Zoom and Smart Controller. I have reset factory settings and refreshed the firmware.
Comments? Suggestions?
