Disappointed again

Will it ever work ?
Last year I purchased a mavic to take on holidays , it shows up late ...
Works great at home , go anywhere without Wi-Fi and nope .
So here I am in Costa Rica with a drone I updated the day we left and it's telling me it needs update here !!!

First flight it went only 10 ft high ..
Now I can't get it to connect to my iPad.
My Samsung tab says the same ?
It wants to see a Wi-Fi connection and an update .

Put your samsung into flight mode before you conect it to the Mavic and launch DJI GO4.

Make sure that the Mavic is set to use the controller, not WiFi. Switch on the side.

I bought a stupid parrot and it just works ..
Not as good as mavic in a lot of ways but if it wasn't so bulky it would be here and getting used .
I do some freelance work for a cable company And take both the mavic and parrot .
Sadly the mavic spends more time updating or stuck at 100ft max !!
My last paying gig I went out and yup ...
100ft and no more !!
After an hour of reading all I had to do was ....
Well !
Piss off dgi!
It's packed up and again I don't get my shot .

This is more user error than DJI. You don’t have to upgrade right when you get that popup. You can also check for updates before you leave rather than waiting until you’re in the field.

You need to sign into your account once when you have an Internet connection, then leave Go signed in.

I get Wi-Fi that's really slow and intermittent in a lobby.
Tried a few times to sign in or do anything .
It will work when I get home I am sure .
