Hi all,
I’m having a strange issue with my DJI Air 2S after updating to firmware v02.04.2700.
Before the update, my drone could easily reach higher altitudes and distances without losing connection. But now, the remote controller disconnects when the drone is still below 100 meters altitude.

I’m having a strange issue with my DJI Air 2S after updating to firmware v02.04.2700.
Before the update, my drone could easily reach higher altitudes and distances without losing connection. But now, the remote controller disconnects when the drone is still below 100 meters altitude.
Here are the details:
- Drone: DJI Air 2S
- Firmware: v02.04.2700
- Issue: RC loses signal before drone reaches 100 m altitude
- Environment: Open area, no major obstacles
- Tried: Restarting DJI Fly app, calibrating compass/IMU, checking antenna position — still the same issue
- Suspected Cause: Might be related to the latest firmware update
Questions:
- Is anyone else experiencing similar disconnection issues after this firmware update?
- Is there a way to roll back to a previous firmware version without buying a downgrade license?
- Could this be fixed via settings or is it likely a firmware bug?
Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
