DJI assistant 2 and something called Electron?

Cannot get the DJI assistant 2 to work on my macbook air. Downloaded the correct software, tries to send me to "Electron". Doesn't connect to the MA2 when I plug the AC directly into computer. Need help please.

Make sure to download directly from the DJI Website.
also what OSX are you using with the Air ?

I just checked the downloads , they are working fine at what point does it t take you to the Electron ?

stalls out after i click on questions on dji, and turn down the 3rd question about improvement program. never goes anyway. i’d i close out, and try to reopen app, that’s when message about Electron pops up

Electron is a crappy program (in JAVA, I think) that allows lazy developers to write programs to run on both Mac OS and Windows, with one set of code. As a result, it is a poor experience on both platforms, since it doesn't conform to the design parameters of either.
